Children living on the streets often endure unsanitary conditions, making them vulnerable to various infections and diseases. As a result, regular medical check-ups are conducted for these children at our full-care Residential Centers and Contact Points. Each child has an individual health card, and when necessary, pathological tests are carried out based on medical recommendations. To facilitate this, we have a dedicated full-time doctor employed at FFP. Additionally, we arrange for external doctors or specialists from hospitals to provide medical care as needed. Vaccinations against Hepatitis-B and Tetanus are administered regularly, and health camps are organized at Contact Points to raise awareness and address basic health needs within the communities.
In addressing the nutritional requirements of the children, we provide nutritionally balanced, hot-cooked meals at both the Residential Centers and Contact Points. These meals are prepared in designated kitchen spaces under staff supervision to ensure adherence to safe and hygienic practices. For children with special nutritional needs, such as those with tuberculosis or malnutrition, we tailor their meals accordingly. This may include protein supplements, extra servings of fruits and milk, as prescribed by the doctor.
